Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. Comprexa processes files directly inside your browser, ensuring your data stays on your device whenever possible.

Last Updated: August 2026

1. Introduction

At Comprexa, we value your privacy above all else. This Privacy Policy details our commitment to security, transparency, and data privacy. We recognize that your documents, images, and tools code represent sensitive work, and we are dedicated to ensuring that your personal and file data is safeguarded at all times.

By using Comprexa, you acknowledge and agree to the guidelines set out in this policy.

2. Browser-First Processing

Unlike traditional online utility tools that require uploading your data to remote cloud servers, Comprexa is built with a browser-first architecture. This means:

  • Local Execution: Most file tools, compressors, converters, editors, and generators process files entirely in-memory within your device's web browser.
  • No Server Uploads: Your documents, images, and other source assets are not sent, stored, or processed on our backend servers, unless a future cloud feature explicitly requests it and you provide direct authorization.
  • Complete Control: You remain in full ownership and control over your physical data. When you close the tab, the workspace state is discarded from your local memory.

3. Information We Collect

We do NOT collect, inspect, read, or catalog your personal files. To help us maintain, optimize, and secure Comprexa, we may gather the following types of anonymous, non-identifying data:

  • Anonymous Analytics: Aggregated metrics such as which tools are accessed most frequently, duration of usage, and total volume of files successfully processed (counted locally).
  • Device & Browser Metadata: Information regarding screen resolutions, browser engine versions, operating systems, and viewport metrics.
  • Performance Metrics: Statistics related to processing speeds, client-side resource utilization, and memory headroom.
  • Error logs: Debug details from script errors, conversion bugs, or browser API failures to help our team continuously stabilize the platform.
  • Basic Usage Statistics: Core interaction metrics such as navigation paths, layout settings, and preferences toggled.

4. Cookies

Comprexa utilizes small text files called cookies and browser-based Local Storage solutions to store your local app preferences. These files may be used for:

  • Theme Preference: Storing whether you prefer using Light, Dark, or System mode so your setting persists across tabs and visits.
  • Language & App State: Remembering your chosen visual layouts, recently used tools, and navigation states.
  • Improving User Experience: Reducing load times and keeping interface transitions smooth.
  • Anonymous Analytics: Assisting trusted analytics tools in understanding generic audience sizes and bounce rates.

5. Third-Party Services

To provide a fast, secure, and robust web environment, Comprexa partners with trusted third-party cloud and utility infrastructure providers. These services include:

  • Google Analytics: To help analyze how users discover and interact with our application. All data collected is strictly anonymized.
  • Google AdSense: To serve visual advertisements that help support the development of our free-to-use tool ecosystem.
  • Cloudflare: To provide secure routing, lightning-fast edge CDN caching, DDoS protection, and SSL infrastructure.

These third-party providers collect, use, and store metadata according to their respective privacy guidelines. We encourage you to review their official policies for detailed information.

6. Advertising

Comprexa is funded in part through display advertisements served by Google AdSense.

AdSense may use cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to display personalized advertisements based on your general browsing patterns across the web. These cookies do not extract or collect personally identifiable info or files. You may opt-out of personalized advertising at any time by modifying your Google Ad Settings or utilizing standard browser privacy filters.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security protocols to keep Comprexa secure and secure your interaction with our tools:

  • Browser-First Separation: By completely avoiding cloud processing for local files, we eliminate the primary attack vector for file breaches.
  • HTTPS Encryption: All transport connections between your browser and our edge servers are encrypted using modern, secure SSL/TLS.
  • No Unnecessary Uploads: No files are uploaded to any server during typical processing operations.
  • Modern Practices: We continuously audit our front-end libraries, dependencies, and script engines to prevent cross-site scripting (XSS) and other potential browser vulnerabilities.

8. Children's Privacy

Comprexa is designed for use by professionals, students, developers, and general audiences. We do not knowingly or intentionally collect, store, or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately, and we will take prompt corrective actions to remove such data from our records.

9. Policy Updates

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect modifications in our tools, changes in browser-first APIs, or new legal requirements.

Any changes will be posted directly to this page with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of the policy. We recommend checking back periodically to stay informed on how we protect your privacy.
